Share

The Share option appears on the Title Details page. Click to create:

  • Permalinks Links to a specific resource's Title Details page. When you select a permalink, you are brought into Destiny Discover as a Guest. To access a permalink to the Title Details page, you need to log in. You can add permalinks to emails, websites, bookmarks, and more.
  • QR code QR (Quick Response) codes are small, scannable images that, when scanned, open a specific resource's title details page.
  • To create QR codes, you must have the Allow Follett Digital setup administration permission.
  • QR codes are not available in eTextbooks.
  • If you get an error when accessing a QR code, it is likely that the record the QR code points to was deleted, is hidden, or the loan period is set to zero.

To access resources that are off-site or hidden, you must have the See off-site hidden materials permission.

To create a permalink or QR code

Use the following table to make your selection:

If you want to create a… Then…
Permalink
  1. On the resource's Title Details page, click/tap Share . The "Share this link" pop-up appears.
  2. The Copy text field contains the permanent link to the copy record. Click in the field, and then copy the link.
  3. Click Close.
  4. Paste the link where you want, such as in an email or on a website.
QR code
  1. On the resource's Title Details page, click/tap Share . The "Share this link" pop-up appears.
  2. Next to Download QR code, click Download.
  3. A message confirms you want to save this QR code as a .png. Click Save. The image is saved in Downloads.
  4. Click Close.
  5. Insert the image where you want it to be accessible to others.
